This is not critical or sarcastic, I'm really just curious and probably am unaware of your criteria: why is this a problem? Potassium tablets are cheap at any grocery store; the main problem I've found is that it takes dozens of tablets to reach a significant fraction of the Recommended Daily Allowance. Sodium is just salt, nothing is cheaper than salt.

If you're looking for an electrolyte replacement tablet, here is what I've gone to: http://succeedscaps.com/

God, I am going to regret this someday!

I don't know the price difference, but I like these. I follow them and buy when they run their specials. http://www.ultimareplenisher.com/

I have been using Power Pak and Electro Mix packets for years. I try something new every once and awhile and always come back to these. The cost is $0.30 to $0.45 per packet to mix 1L vs. (Nuun) $5 for 10 tablets that make 16oz ea. (i used amazon for a price reference)

I am no Dietitian or Nutritionist but you might take a look at these folks: https://www.skratchlabs.com/

Hammer Nutrition Endurolyte Fizz tablets are very similar to Nuun and cheaper: http://www.hammernutrition.com/products/endurolytes-fizz-reg-.elf.html I try to take advantage of sales on both to stock up. Sales on some items may be posted on the Nuun website, which is not secure, but it's possible to call and place an order. The potassium content of both Nuun and Endurolyte fizzy tablets seems low. I have not tried some of the other products listed in this thread.

I recently purchased Ultima Replenisher Lemonade Powder through Amazon. I paid $34.99 for a 90 serving canister. It dissolves well and tastes great, especially when mixed with fresh, cold spring water on the trail! dizzy.gif Walmart sells some little plastic plastic ziploc style baggies near the fabric Dept. that work perfect for single serving pouches to toss in your pack.

up.gif I've used S-caps for years with great results. Works better than the others for my body chemistry. For flavor I often use Crystal Light (various flavors), usually the single portions, available in 44-pack from Costco.

Coconut water has lots of potassium. EmergenC also has nice balance of electrolytes. And many flavors to choose from.
