I know this is on short notice, but it's going to be like 65 on Sat. with the freezing levels going up to 9,000 ft. so is anyone up to camping out at a great spot on Mt Pilchuck? I'm up here right now with a great view.

If you were so inclined you could wander on up here for the weekend and indulge in some hiking/camping. I'm about 2 miles from the Mt Pilchuck TH off a side spur (2,700 ft) You'll need a SUV or 4x4 to reach where I'm at or some skill in driving a bumpy unmaintained FS road.
I have all my implements of camping destruction, (generator, sat tv, internet, wood stove, etc, etc, so I'm not roughing it) Here's the directions. Drive the Mt. Pilchuck Rd to mile 4.75. Turn right and go about 1.5 miles to a left turn. Don't mind the big puddles they are hard bottomed. After the left turn ( big rocks) go to the end of the road and to where I'm camped. I brushed out the road today, so you won't get your rig all scratched up. Anyone up for this?

You're fun, with your posts from trips, thanks!
I'm going to be pounding, er, plying the waters of Lake Lenice with my fly rod this weekend.

Yeah, I've posted before when I've been out and nobody ever takes me up on it. You'll catch some nice fish in Lenice. Green Carey Special on a sinking tip is deadly. Catch a big one for me.

I have a brand-new full sinker I can't wait to try out.
Then there's the always-deadly Hale-Bopps.

Sounds good Brian, I'll be up here till at least Sunday or Monday. Gorgeous day out today! There's even garbage here, as this is a long time shooting spot, so you won't feel out of place. I've got it all cleaned up at the landing site, but there's plenty off the sides and up on the big wood pile.
