George Winters said it might be closed as far back as MP 2. That could ruin a trip.

This SUCKS! Does this mean the new bridge allowing access to Rat Quark Pass too?

Yeah, at times the road could be closed near highway 530 - separate from flood damage are other necessary repairs from mp 1 to mp 11, as listed on a SOPA from last year. I'll put that in the first post. Thanks, Magellan. BPJ, yes, this will screw up Boundary Bridge (Rat Trap Pass) access, (which isn't accessible anyway, even if the Suiattle Rd weren't closed [remember it's blocked a few miles after Boundary Bridge]).

Chill. We've waiting since '03 and '06. I'm willing to wait longer while the actual repair is in process.

People have been whining (rightly) for years about that road and various nearby roads not being fixed in a timely fashion and then when they actually do get around to fixing stuff people whine because it is closed for construction. rolleyes.gif

Thanks for the heads up, Quark. They mention repairs completed sometime in 2011--any idea they have a projected finish date (as if that would be likely to be accurate)? What I'm looking for is if we could get close to the Green Mtn TH in mid-July next year.

Eric - there's no telling what issues might arise in repairing this road. Seems like each time they surveyed it, they discovered something new to consider. The actual construction process - who knows what they'll encounter. Hopefully the construction season can continue late into the year. up.gif
