Ha! We should've charged you for our labors.
How were the views on Sunday? Things really clouded up from my perspective.

Put it on our tab.
We had awesome weather until we reached the summit. Within 10-15 minutes, a small semi-ominous-looking cloud came over from Mount Index and covered the summit. Fortunately, it passed right over and we had decent views again. Suddenly, all of the mountains to the south, west, and north had clouds moving in. A few minutes later, a larger very-ominous-looking cloud headed over towards the summit from Mount Index. Not wanting poor visibility or conditions, we headed down. The cloud lingered at the summit as we descended, but the rest of the descent route had great visibility and conditions. By the time we reached the snow basin below the gully, clouds had totally encased the mountain... except for our route. We could no longer see Gunn Peak or Merchant Peak.
After the basin, we passed by two ascending climbers, who ultimately would end up turning around due to the diminishing weather conditions. Fortunately, we had great snow conditions, a nice ridge walk, and no rain. We did not enjoy the steep forested descent, which was slick and damp in places, but would have been even worse with rain.

Nice job, you two (um, three!) Baring is a beast at best. You made it look like fun...

I did not find your sanity, but I think I did find a good excuse to buy you and Mark each a drink at the next NWH get-together!

Wonderful report and great job! I'm jealous of the views and weather you had - we're going to have to go back when (if) summer gets here.
