I hiked up Beverly Creek on Thursday. The creek crossing was pretty easy (my feet stayed dry). It was fairly cool, so the creek may run faster if it warms up. I hiked up to the junction, encountering only one small snow patch on the way. I decided to head directly to the ridge, and then onto the county line trail. Just short of the ridge I encountered the first solid snow. Since I prefer snow, I was able to stay completely on snow all the way up to Bean. I then skied back down to the pass using my mini skis, which are a combination of Salomon Snow Blades and Berwin bindings. I met someone who was camping close to the ridge, on dry ground.
