This peak has been on my to do list for a while. Crevasse rescue skills needed for this one, I got a glacier rope so were covered there. My brother Michael could also join, but it's always good to have atleast three people on a rope team when travelling on a glacier.

And, ideally, you'd have two rope teams for glacier travel.

Well that would be nice. Often with me it is usually not possible due to lack of partners. But if I get enough people in this, then it would be possible. For some reason that reminds me of one of the crappy pulley methods in the mountaineers book where it takes atleast 6 people.

What route? (Just curious; not interested in climbing GP this year.) DPC Right (aka Gerdine/Cool)?

Glacier is on my list. When were you thinking of going?
I was thinking of doing Olympus but can probably work Glacier in.

Anytime in July, I got the entire summer off. Also any route that is desired, I am very flexible with how this trip will work out.

I proposed July 4th weekend but never got a response so heading down to Smith Rock to climb with an east coast buddy who is here for a couple weeks. I am doing Olympus 7/10 - 7/14. So the weekend of July 24th would work. A friend is skiing Adams the weekend before so will probably do that; although I am tried of skiing.
Hey are you actually living in Yakima. I am in Selah. Let me know if you want to do some climbing or mountaineering. It is easier to arrange things with people on this side.

Sorry about not replying, I got caught up in a lot of drama these past 2 days. Then I forgot to reply, which I had thought of one but did not send it. My plans were to bike to the trailhead from Darrington (due to no transportation) with my brother.
As reply to Myshkin, what weekend works best for you? I have two other people who most likely would be joining on the trip. In mid July I'll be in California on the JMT.

My fiance and I were also considering Glacier Peak over the 4th weekend along with maybe Shuksan as a separate option, but was worried about the weather/length of the trip. Are you still looking for partners? I was thinking it sounded pretty damn tough for a three day weekend though.
Let me know.
