We'll start at the Stuart Lake TH bright & early, then head past Colchuck & up Aasgard, then down through the upper Enchantments. At Prusik Pass we'll head to the Lorelei Lakelets & Druid Plateau & up to Cannon Mtn. Then we'll check out Coney Lake (maybe just look at it from above) & head back straight down to the Stuart Lake TH. Fantastic but stout 18-20 mile day Interested?

I'm interested. I've been thinking about doing something similar for a few years now.

Great Kyle! This is starting to be a nice group! I've sent the word out to a few non-NWhiker friends of mine. One of 'em suggested we do do it the opposite way. Seems he'd rather go up that nasty, burned out NW slope of Cannon, as opposed to down it at the end of the day... Can't say I blame him. Anyone have an opinion on that?

I'm good either way! Bring it on! up.gif

Take risks not to escape life, but to prevent life from escaping I may not have anyone rocking my world right now but, I don't have anyone messing it up either.

Getting kinda close. Here's my plan (totally open to other ideas though). Let's meet at the TH at 6:00 and head up to Cannon/Coney, then come down through Aasgard. Still interested?

I'd love to come but this seems maybe a bit too "Stout" for me. What kind of pace y are you all hoping to set?

I'm not sure we have to go real fast. We have a full day. The initial climb will be a bugger - 5,200 feet or so off trail from the TH to Cannon Mtn. From there it'll be mostly downhill, the only exception being a short climb to Prusik Pass & then a gentle climb from the Middle Enchantments to Aasgard. There's also the potential for a quick charge up Little Annapurna for those interested, or maybe up Dragontail (I've never been so I'm keeping that in mind), or various other side trips. We'll certainly be dealing with snow, I'll have an ice axe.

I'm interested, but not familiar with the area. Any technical rope stuff on the route? Snow or class 3 scrambling is fine, but I don't have climbing experience. Also, carpool?

Nothing too technical. I'm not a climber at all. As for carpooling, we have some Seattle area folks interested I think...
