I'm looking for a hiking partner (or a group of people) who lives in the Ballard area and either owns a car and doesn't mind driving (I will share the cost of gas) or who doesn't own a car but is willing to share the cost of a zipcar. I'm am getting back into hiking/climbing shape after several months off and anticipate needing a few hikes to get my legs back under me. Perhaps we can do some I-90 or Mtn. Loop hikes to start? I hiked McClellan this last weekend. This coming weekend I have Saturday free. Maybe a combo of Bandera and Mt. Defiance (or maybe just Defiance)? I'm male, 42, like to laugh and enjoy myself. Although I keep a good pace, I'm not looking to run up and down the trail. I have a good deal of experience and mountaineering/climbing, as well as overnight backpacks, are also possiblities once we get to know each other.

Good luck with that Jay. Welcome to the site.
