Looks like it's just the map from the back of the book, not the book itself. Am I reading that wrong?

"Hikers Map..." is the official title of the booklet, DHM. ( I'm looking at my copy). I paid $55 for it several years ago (mint condition).

It's a map (15 min. quad w/ T&C's notes) plus 47 pages of text. Paragraph numbers in the texts correspond to circled numbers on the map. It's also available in the Seattle Public Library.

It does not seem to be there any longer or maybe I just don't how to find it. I went to link you have there Schroder which takes you to Tabor's website which has a link to the challenger book but then I cannot find it. The link to the Glacier Peak area book on his website does work. Can anyone help with this. Thanks

If the Seattle Public Library copy is missing and you can't find it after a diligent search, you can make a copy of mine in exchange for, oh say, a 12-pack of Euro lager. biggrin.gif

Those work Schroder and appear to be on the USGS website. The one I can't get to work is the Mt. Challenger one and it links to this website and I cannot find it there. Thanks Edit: Now I see that he is upgrading his website so maybe it will be back when he gets done.

The Glacier Peak to Lake Chelan version is available here. Don't know about the Challenger one.

I found a nice copy of "Routes and Rocks-Mt. Challenger" at a thrift store for 50 cents. Picked it up about 15 seconds before Cascadetraverser would have. Lucky me!!

If I google "routes and rocks crowder challenger" the first result is a pdf of the book linking straight to the file and around the broken tonybently link.
