I was talking on the phone with Zackster yesterday morning, and we were wondering about snow up around Red Pass & Kendall Katwalk area since we'd not seen any recent reports from there. Originally we were going to get out together, but my frig. decided to go on the fritz- so I was forced to wait around for the GE repair man.
It seems that CPU's aren't the only things with motherboards that fail- but now my frig will keep stuff cold again- it's only job.
At the bright & early time of noon, I headed up to the Pass, and snuck in the old pct trail to the junction. This trail shaves off a long mile.
Isabel & I had fun crossing the streams- esp. the wider one. With no one looking, one can make a fool of one's self.
Trail is in good shape,& we got up to Red Pass quickly.

if you squint, you can see old PCT- anyone ever use it?

This trail has plenty of water for dogs, and lots of shade & still snow too of course. I'm still discovering how Isabel does on talus & in full sun ( she sounds like a plant!)
With her summer hair cut- she was comfortable all day.
I went as far up Lundin as one goes without pulling out ropes & pro.
Lundin's top?
or is this Lundin's top
This one looks a little higher?
Lovely afternoon of solitude- so fun!
