How are the ladders holding up? Where did you hit consistent snow? How's the road? Bugs? Ain't that view from the lookout one of the all time airy\scary ones?

The ladders look good - new and still shiny security cables are in place.
There were no consistent snow, just snow patches and dirt/rocky trail (despite a warning from a ranger that the snow starts after Saddle Lake)
There was only one "sketchy" part, just above Tin Can Gap:
where you'd have a choice of going inside of a narrow moat or on top of snow ridge.
No bugs (that I noticed).
We met only 4 groups (8 people) during the day.
The road is okay (not much of washboard but quite a few potholes)
The view from the lookout ... is great =)
