On the way back from spending Saturday night in Chelan, I decided to take 20 over to the westside, and stop on the way for a quickie. Rock Mountain the day before +lots of driving had left me a bit worn, so I headed for Lake Ann. I was thinking of doing Maple Pass, but there was still some snow and I wasn't motivated enough. Plus, it was getting late. The trail to Lake Ann was lovely. Rounding the basin, looking down on the meadows is wonderful.

Before I knew it I was at the turnoff for Lake Ann. The meadows before the lake were a swampy, messy slog. One couple was on their way out, and that left me alone at the lake for a spell.

Lovely little lake. Less than 4 miles R/T, nice payoff for a shortie. Can't wait to head back one day for MAple Pass!
