2p tarptent rainbow. somewhat narrow, but lots of room at the feet and head.

Awesome adventure for you two!  Amazing when the weather comes together to allow a trip of this magnitude.  When I saw you weren't planning on finishing the trip the normal way due to the Suiattle Road closure I thought you were going to extend the traverse south through Hanging Gardens and finish @ Holden Village or maybe just head out Agnes Creek.  I was really surprised to see the Bruseth - Sonny Boy Traverse finish.  Never heard of anyone doing that!   up.gif
Another possible variation of your big loop would be to climb up into the Buckindy Range from Downey Creek either via Goat Creek (brushy) or via Green Mt and doing the Buckindy - Snowking Traverse with a finish down Found Ridge.  The B-S Traverse is exceptional on it's own, combined with the PT would be epic..

yes, looked at the buckindy traverse option. too much big terrain there that required more rope discouraged me from pursuing further. i'll probably do that traverse first, by itself, and then maybe combine the two in a few years  agree.gif

Holy cow. What an amazing adventure. The effort, the knowledge, the bravery required, are just incredible. And to capture it all so well on film, and in words, is the icing on the cake. Thank you for sharing. Taking everything into consideration, that is the best trip report I have ever read.

Yup, them mountains is man territory!  Everyone knows that if you dangle chocolate in front of a chick, she'll crawl through the brush and over rock & snow to get at it.  Keep it juuust a few feet out of her reach, and she'll follow.  By the end of the day, she's standing there, clutching that bar of chocolate she's been striving for, smiling at you, sir, and no other - completely oblivious of the fact that she's on top of a real mountain!  That's how you get wimmen out there.   clown.gif

It's the same strategy you'd use with a carrot on a stick to get a fully-loaded ass to move up the road.
