Went to W. Cady Ridge on Monday with Jordan and Bonnie (golden lab puppy). West Cady Ridge is mostly snow free now, though there are some significant snow patches to cross still, mostly on the north side of the ridge. The mosquitoes were extremely thick in the parking lot, getting less and less bad as we gained elevation. I could see bugs flying around at the top, but they didn't bother us. Here's some pics:

Wondering about access to the PCT via West Cady Ridge?
24JUL2010 West Cady Ridge Tr 1054 traverses the north side of Pt 5643 between the Benchmark Mtn junction and the PCT junction. Boot paths across long sections of snow were visible from Benchmark.

As you head along W. Cady Ridge, the trail forks to the left (N) towards Benchmark Mountain. If you stay on the right instead, the trail will take you to the low spot between Benchmark mtn. and Point 5643. The trail will then contour around the north side of 5643. About halfway around 5643, the trail turns more towards the NE until it turns SE and switchbacks to the PCT (according to what I see on the usgs topo maps). When we were out there we went part way around 5643, and there was still quite a bit of snow covering the trail, as well as everything else on the north facing slopes. Nothing that would be impossible to deal with, especially with trekking poles.

We got on the PCT briefly from West Cady Ridge on this loop weekend before last. http://www.pwckitsap.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=154 Snow was still deep in a few spots but nothing too terrible. The boot paths visible were likely created by our group.
