Just before my hike tomorrow I went outside to toss some recyclables and wammo, both cans (garbage and recycle) are knocked to the ground and crap is strewn out all over the place. Black bear problems in downtown Issaquah. Things that make you go hmm.

Did you see a Bear? Or are you just assuming. Cause dogs do knock over garbage cans too, looking for "treats"

Albuterol! it's the 11th essential

If it was bear then they might have been on their way down to the creek to find some salmon to eat. Instead they found the aroma of the garbage too alluring. It happens with me too when I whiff saturated fats. The vanguard of the salmon season must be getting up to the hatchery by now.

That would be some big raccoons if they were knocking modern cans over

Out here they can't. The bins are too thick/heavy. It is always bears if one is tossed. Once the garbage went to those massive bins...wooo. We have tons of coons in our area.

It's nice to know that bears recycle, but knocking over garbage cans? That's just beastly.
Sadly, right now I'm a poseur. Sigh.

considering that the bear could have perused the garbage of Fatburger, Triple-X, or Las Margaritas, me thinks there is some swank haute cuisine being served at the BPJ residence.

Sometimes they will shop in Gillman Village, but usually they frequent the outlet mall in North Bend--their stomping grounds for creature comforts (though some will stray as far as the Banana Republic in Bellevue).
