Hello there. Just wondering if anyone had any beta on the prospects of backpacking/good tent sights around the end of the valley near Source Lake? I've camped back there in winter on the snow, but the only times back in during summer was passing above the lake to head to the Tooth.
I'm taking a friend out for a first taste of overnighting with a pack and it seemed an area with little effort > nice location and distance of driving.
Any thoughts are appreciated. Enjoy the sun.
If youre going that far dont stop there. Head on into Snow lake for goodness sakes.

I'd push on past Snow and grab a spot away from Snow near one of the tarns. Or go just a bit further and camp up near Gem Lake. Nice views from Gem back down over Snow Lake.
A few of those tarns aka "mosquito breeding ponds" around Snow Lake are closed for restoration. But don't let that stop you. No one up there pays attention to any of the signs anyway.
