This past weekend was hiking time with the grand kids . We started off Saturday morning hiking the Skyline trail loop 8.6 miles. The morning was fairly cool but it slowly warmed up. Snow patches found throughout the loop along with the gorgeous wild flowers.
Then on Sunday we were off to Sunrise where we hiked to Mt Fremont's lookout tower then back down to Burroughs Mtns one and two, a 9.6 mile round hike. The heat was a bit intense coming back but the kids proved they were up to the hike. Finally the kids were tired (and me ) and ready to go home .
It was a great weekend and they thought the hikes were awesome and ready for more!
