Had a great time today with my husband Paul going up to Mason Lake via the "old" trail. Lots of bugs but great views and we went in the lake once we got there. It was a hot hot day today but what is great, is that when you take the old trail, you are boxed in trees and such, so it is quite cool. We headed on up to Bandera Mountain after having gone up there several times years earlier. I didn't get to make it all the way up but my husband Paul did so it was all good. Lots of Indian Paintbrush, Yarl and Fireweed. Defintely a good day but we are tired.
