Nice, I'm so happy for the both of you! biggrin.gif Did you wear out your crocs on the trail down?

I'm not always sure I like being older but being less stupid has advantages. http://www.flickr.com/photos/32121172@N00/sets/

Congrats to you both. Go far as Mike says. An assist to Hollywood and modern.

Have had extensive experience hiking, backpacking and climbing throughout the NW, California and New England.

This was such a heartwarming tale it made me (finally) register on this site just so I could extend the admiring congratulations of a stranger. Nicely done! And nothing but the best wishes to you both for a long and happy journey.

Congrats Mike. I have to warn you... Being married to a PT means that insurance won't pay for her to treat you any more. So make sure Carrie does any work up front before the wedding. hockeygrin.gif up.gif

crocs worked great and appear to be no worse for the wear. if they worked better at keeping debris out, i'd probably hike with them all the time. super light and as hotpantz said, they helped correct my pronation more than any other footwear she's seen me in. i definitely felt near my fastest in them.

No wonder you were so pooped heading up...you were carrying this heavy jewelry the whole way! hockeygrin.gif (Lemme guess, your ultralight instincts kicked in on the summit and you forced her to carry it all the way down?) Congrats to both of you... You make a lovely couple and I have no doubt that many many years of happiness await you both. up.gif up.gif

My thoughts exactly. First - wowza, beautiful ring!! Then 'oh yeah, great hike too.' Guess it's the girl in us. lol.gif Congratulations, both of you.

What a wonderful story! Heartfelt congratulations to the both of you. Now you've really set the bar high. I'm dying to hear where you two will tie the knot. Beautiful pics of the trip, too.

who is going to wear the pantz in the family? to paraphrase a great quote - outside of you and the pantz, there is not one couple i would rather hike with. inside of you both, it is too dark to hike! i am so happy for you two! :>)
