Today I hiked with my husband it's been at least 2 years. This trail was a good choice for us. I know he had a great time and will be coming with me on more hikes in the future.

Trail is in perfect shape, we were lucky to have views of the mountain today. Brent saw and heard his first pikas and marmots.

We saw Adams for a second and that was it. We scrambled up to Plummer's peak something I had never done.

We spend almost 4 hours wandering the meadows and enjoying each other's company. The clouds were doing some cool in and out dramatic shows at times.

We stopped at Wild Berry restaurant on the way home, they have a lunch/dinner menu as well as Nepal style food. Burger and fries were very good homemade rolls. I also recommend the potatoe chowder soup. They also have a breakfast menu. Prices were a tad high, but service and food were good so no complaints. Nice to have another option in the area.

Great pika photos. Pinnacle was one of my first scrambles. Very atmospheric photos. Being in hot Eastern Washington, it's easy to forget how much more clouds and fog the Cascades get. Looks nice and cool! Thanks for sharing. And I'm glad that your husband joined you. Cute couple.

Yikes! If you're talking about Pinnacle Pk. versus just the saddle or Plummer, that's pretty impressive you did that as 1 of your 1st scrambles. up.gif We were watching peeps scale that thing while we sat humbly atop Plummer & it looked pretty sketch. But maybe it's easier than it looks, I don't know. dizzy.gif

B.C. Nope, it's not easy...or wasn't for me in those days. Today I wouldn't even attempt it. Other folks with better heads for height and exposure gallop up like goats. I was instinctively using three-point climbing in a couple of spots where there are big rock steps. Hand and feet all connecting as you make a move. I was scared shitless, but made it up. And brazenly sat my way down, too. eek.gif not caring about proper form. It's definitely NOT a walk up. And a helmet would be a good thing to protect from falling rock. I enjoyed some of the other scrambles around the Tatoosh better...

WOW... gorgeous! I know this is on my daughters list of hikes to do.... not sure I could pull it off yet...but maybe a goal for the future. Loved the last picture...that one is certainly framable!!!! smile.gif Being so close to CR and Nisq. entrances sure makes many of these hikes easily accessable. How nice to have your hubby join you. You guys looked like you had a fantastic time. Rock on! up.gif

Thanks all! We didn't go up pinnacle just plummer. We saw and heard lots of rocks falling from people doing pinnacle. Brent isn't even sore today, so that means harder hikes for him to come. biggrin.gif
