The MyTopo maps option don't seem to be working. I've had problems with my subscription with them in the past, so it's most likely their map server needing a good jiggle. You may want to shoot them an email.

MyTopo shows up just fine for me on the previous page. Might be your computer?

No way around it if you want to attach a .tpo file (you're attaching the file to your post). If you want host the file somewhere else use the Google Maps option.

What are the options if you don't want to use google maps or anything to do with google?

Sorry, I did read the first post, and tried acme maps, but there were errors on the map area I wanted--such as incorrectly placed markers for various places--so I gave up on that. The errors must be acme's fault, as they were on the map area I was interested in before I even thought of trying to add something of my own.

Acme mapper uses USGS topos. Your other option is to export a topo from NG Topo which uses the same USGS maps.
