Not a lot to report on this one. The trail was in good shape. I was doing this as a larch hike, since I knew of the larches at the pass. However, the huckleberries, blueberries, mountain ash, etc. were putting on there own color show. The day was mostly overcast with a few brief sunbreaks. Easy Pass has larches and great views of the Fischer Valley and many of the high peaks of the North Cascades. For larch hunters I would note that, as the name might imply, the larches at Easy Pass were easier to reach than those on Crater Mountain and the Jerry Lakes, but not as easy to reach as those at Blue Lake.
