Canyoneering Northwest is "devoted to sharing information and ideas for exploring the canyons of the northwest. It includes canyons that are easy, hard, wet or dry. The northwest includes Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Western Canada." Queets Canyon recounts the amazing kayak and rappel from its headwaters in Queets Basin, past remote Service Falls, to the lower Queets, accomplished in 1992 by Sprague Ackley, Eric Volk and Scott Mathews.

"of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt" - John Muir "the wild is not the opposite of cultivated. It is the opposite of the captivated” - Vandana Shiva

The Canyoneering Northwest site looks really promising but half of the links I tried in the Beta/Photos map are 404'd.

And the meek shall inherit the Earth...um...if that's ok with you.
