we parked at the Gold Creek Sno Park which is just off the Interstate. You can drive approx 2/3 of the way to the first switchback provided you have good clearance. Approx. where Rocky Run crosses the road. E

A couple of years ago I wandered up past Resort Creek Pond with the intention of getting to that summit. Turned around when I saw this:
