Forgot the camera but took the binoculars. This is really a winter walk but it makes you feel as if you are getting out even if you are in Everett. The walk along the Snohomish River is beautiful. We didn't see any otters today or any eagles. This is a bird watcher's favorite and most people carried scopes and binoculars. Someone has done a lot of clearing and cutting back of blackberry bushes which allowed us to walk north on the dike for quite a ways. The trail angels quit, but the trail looked quite passable. We wanted to continue, but we were now directly across from the duck hunting area. Not being sure whether hunting season was over, we decided to leave further explorations for later. Mt. Pilchuck, 3 Fingers, and Whitehorse were all out.
