I was starting to feel like a slug after two weeks with a broken arm... I needed to get out. Friday looked good. Dane and seattlehikertoo came along providing excellent company. Conditions were beautiful and interesting. After the initial snow tree-bomb-slush-zone at the top of Kamikaze Falls,

there were several 100 feet of powder over pineapple remnants; i.e. fluffy dry powder on top of wet mushy ground... weird and often slippery. Eventually that hardened turning to considerable snowdrifts further up the ridge, often thigh high. Excitement easily plowed through the relatively short distance to the top and we agreed it wasn't worth hauling up snowshoes.

Thanks for the invite, Stefan! It was good getting out with you guys, let's do it again sometime.

Take risks not to escape life, but to prevent life from escaping I may not have anyone rocking my world right now but, I don't have anyone messing it up either.
