Eleanor did re-hearse the number at her own home, but the studio built a matching set for the actual takes, which took several days and a lot of editing! Still a unique dance routine, marvellously done, top quality all round
The studio lighting and the composite floor (with its marvelous acoustics) are by no stretch of the imagination somebody's living room in 1941. wink.gif (I know a dance floor when I see one.)

“While biking along the roads of Pointe-Taillon National Park, this cyclist came across a family of skunks. All of them rushed towards him and sniffed him before running back into the wild.” Turn up the volume to hear the skunks and the cyclist’s initial deep intake of air… ~z

lol.gif Who knew skunks make such cute little noises? Good thing they were just curious and didn't feel threatened, or that would've been the worst bike ride ever.

Since we're already doing polkas, here's a Ukrainian girl who can yodel like nobody's business (skip forward to about 2 minutes for the real show to start).
edit--the boy at around 3:30 is like "What the hell?," but another kid at about 3:50 is totally down with it.

Here's Anne Bancroft and Lee Jay Cobb in "The Yma Dream". Yma Sumac was a famous singer at the time. ~z

A harmonium got some genetic material involved. I've played bass along with a harmonium, had to use a fretless bass as the notes are all micro tuned, had to totally play by ear.

Since I have no expectations of forgiveness, I don't do it in the first place. That loop hole needs to be closed to everyone.
