More megapixels? Better color renditioning? Lenses? Storage? Other technology/features?

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

Rugged & waterproof Records in RAW Fast, wide lens Good movie mode AFAIK, not all available in the same camera today unfortunately. Therefore, 2 cameras. Lumix DMC TS2 & Nikon D7000 depending on desired outcome.

Wider dynamic range (not internal HDR!) Better noise handling at higher ISO internal GND filter(s) .. saw this talked about by Sony a few years back

I have 11 essentials, the 10 plus an extra camera battery. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jd_hiker/ http://jdhascup.wordpress.com http://jdhascup.500px.com

What jd said. I think a D7000 would be an upgrade for that from my D300 -- maybe some day ...

I just did. hockeygrin.gif up.gif Micro 4/3 compact body with swappable lens.(Panny GH1) A nice compact micro 4/3 28-280mm equivalent lens, with image stabilization. Moderately quiet sensor with a very useable dynamic range and a reasonable bokeh for landscape photography, especially nice when shooting in RAW. Flip out LCD. EVF viewfinder packed full of info, that works great in bright sunlight. Nice grip. I do wish it was weather resistant, although i have finally learned I can poke the lens out of a plastic bag with a corner cut off and cinched onto the lens and its actually pretty good in bad weather. And I can toss it in a small bag on my belt or slung over a shoulder in a front carry small bag. I might yet get a prime for it. Its keeping me grinning for now. agree.gif

I really need another lens or two. I shoot Pentax so I'm lusting after some of their primes, specifically the 15mm or 21mm and the 100mm macro. Otherwise, lighter weight would be nice. The mirrorless systems are certainly helping in that realm.

I have a friend with one of those and has the 20mm 1.7 prime. He loves it. I've been very impressed with some of the photos he's taken.

I want my D3x with a 12-400mm 2.0 lens to be the same size & weight as my P7000. According to a Nikon PR dude a few years back he said "It's just a mater of time"

I love my Canon 5Dmk2. Id (I'll) get a couple more lenses.

Second what JD_Hiker said as well. I'm holding on to my Canon 40D as long as I can hoping something really improved comes out. If I had to go buy another right now I'd probably go for a 5D MkII ... well, assuming I win the lotto or something.
