Crummy weather, high avalanche danger, and lots of new snow. Where to go? Rattlesnake Mountain of course. We left the trailhead under drizzly skies but on bare ground. But before long we were into light snow. By the time we reached Stan's Overlook it was more than boot deep.
High up in the open areas it was easily 2 feet deep. But then as we postholed our way out to Grand Prospect it was more than waist deep! We opted to just call it a day here rather than push on to the peak. As we ate lunch the weather cleared up. So we decided to make a snowman. Which quickly evolved into a very large snowman. Then a busty snowwoman. And finally a busty snowwoman with attitude! Oddly nobody who passed by wanted to stop at Grand Prospect for lunch, instead continuing up the trail a short ways to take their breaks. Nobody wanted to spend their time with two weirdos and their giant naked snow creature? Oh well, their loss.
She is still waiting there at Grand Prospect for anyone else!

If you go, we'd love to know if our snow woman is still standing or if someone tackled her for blocking the spectacular view today

I hiked/snow-shoed up to Grand Prospect early this morning (Wed 3/21) and your snow-person was still standing. She has a nice dusting of new snow. There is an additional 2-feet of snow since I was last at Grand Prospect on Friday 3/16.
