Even though this hike is in the Tri-cities area, I was a little blown away that I was the ONLY person here, on a Saturday, at peak bloom. I have become an advocate for this place. It is truly beautiful and you all should go there right now.
The desert hikes book says that wild horses used to live on these hills and they loved eating the flowers. Unfortunately, there are no more wild horses, but it still gives you the feeling that there is something very special about this place.
