I wasn't sure if this counts as a hiking trip, so I stewed over it for a week, and decided to post it anyway. It is the most incredible sunset I have seen in 9 years in the pacific NW. The irony is I was literally sitting in a restaurant in Wheeler, OR, bemoaning the fact that I have had a dearth of decent hikes this year, and even whining about how little sun we've had. Not less than five minutes later, a glow from the big picture window made rethink my complaints. I immediately grabbed my camera from the car, ran across the street to the dock. These pics are unedited mind you. Total elevation gain = 20 feet, round trip distance = 300 yds.
