Just returned from a weekend trip to Camp Handy. Trail is awesome! So is the road getting to the trailhead.
Flowers are blooming, birds are singing, and the trail is in full traffic mode. I can not believe how many hikers there were.
Went to Heather Meadows and saw a bear across the river in a field. Such a beautiful thing to see them out and about.

A few words and a few pictures, carefully chosen, tell the story. Thanks.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Bobbi - We didn't get on the trail until around 3pm. I am hard to miss because I usually have a camera on a tripod slung over my shoulder and hike with two australian shepherds. The photo is actually of my wife.

Thanks for the beta, nivaun. I've been trying to think of a good Father's Day hike to get out and test my ankle on. This might be a good candidate!

Hope you have a great hike Don. While most of the trail is in awesome condition there are still a few places that may put your ankle to the test. There was some minor water running down the trail and a few rocky, muddy parts but nothing too serious.
A few of the creeks you have to cross were fairly wide. I just got my feet wet instead of trying to figure out a dryer crossing. I am using Merrill's new Barefoot shoes and they dry very fast.
