This is an amazing jacket in excellent condition. I have lost a considerable amount of weight and the jacket no longer fits me. I tried to see if it could be altered but the folks at Feathered Friends said this would be too costly to be worth it. It is black with a removable hood and EPIC fabric. I hope it finds a good home!

I have a FF Volant 2XL jacket in 1.1 oz ripstop with a hood. It's for sale, and I might post a new thread on that. I made a DIY expander I use when I wear it over layers. With the expander, it fits like other manufacturers' roomy XLs. It's a very nice piece but I don't use it and would like to see it in the hands of someone who would.

Steve,
I'd be interested and I think a new thread would be good, as would pictures and notes on fit.

Two questions: an XXl with an expander still only fits like an XL?
And the jacket in the picture looks sort of purple-ish, not black.
Just curious on both questions, not trying to make any kind of point.

George, give me a few days and I'll do that
Slug, it fits XL+ in the shoulders and across the upper back, but it's XL- in the waist, i.e., cut for a fit XL or XL+ with an athletic body. With my DIY expander, it fits more like a North Face (available at Nordstrom) XL, i.e., a baggy XL.

Gotcha, so that wasn't a typo. It is marked 2XL by FF, right? This is good info, because makers often use different size standards for their sizing, which I found out with Golite, where their XXL is barely XL by the standards of some other companies like Mtn Hardwear or REI branded garments.
