The extended weekend:
Sunday: Whitewater Rafting in Leavenworth/Rock climbing in Vantage
Monday: Rocking in Vantage/Party time
Tuesday: Mt. Dainels Attempt
Wednesday: Mt. Daniels Attempt
Here’s a quick report on what we did at Daniels… Our original plan was to climb Lynch Glacier but after hiking past Hyas Lake we decided to take the climbers trail instead of walking to Deception Pass and cutting over. We had a late start already and when we met up with a main trail ( PCT?) we were forced to a stop by a raging river. We decided to take that trail around Cathedral Rock (it was much of a trail due to all the snow) and Camp at Peggy’s Pond and attempt to summit in the morning.
The next day we woke up a Peggy’s Pond and with no route description, we set out. Eventually we figured out we were on the wrong ridge t summit and if we attempted our current route we would have to hike under some gnarly cornices that we breaking off so we turned around. Defiantly bring a map and compass… If you have any specific questions, shout um out!

Deep Lake appears to be thawed, is Peggy's Pond?
Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

It was still frozen but there was water above the ice around the edges. The picture where I have my fist up is Peggys Pond.
