So did the snow do that or an art critic?

I think even God is a critic...... embarassedlaugh.gif Hopefully it will either be fixed up or removed. The humor is gone if it is trashed. Then it's just junk, even if someone liked it before.

Somebody must have trade to make a call and then didn't get their quarter back.

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

Thanks for bringing this up. I was thinking about it a few days ago, but forgot to post.

Thanks for posting that -- very interesting. I'm guessing snow. If it was a person the mess indicates a pretty concerted attack, yet the phone book is hanging untouched as it would if the sagging roof protected it from the weight of deep snow. If I were mad about this art and wanted to deface it, I'd concentrate on tipping it over.

Yeah, definitely the snow. The only other option would be bigfoot sat his fat ass on it. Too bad. I can only imagine the hardship of lugging and installing that out there.

...wait...are we just going to hang here or go hiking?

The real question is when is CenturyLink gonna get off their fat asses and get up there. Those logos have to be updated, no? Here's what it looked like back on July 24th. Snow has definitely melted a bit in the last week.

Hopefully they can get folks to volunteer to remove it. I think that was mentioned by the Forest Service last year. Those who installed it might consider contributing some labor. Otherwise, the Forest Service does it, and we get the honor of paying for the cost.

Yes I think it's reasonable that the art be removed by the artists if it is not properly maintained. It is an interesting example of what winter conditions can do, but now it's just wreckage. Art is often fleeting.

snoqpass, we had raging arguments about this last summer when it first appeared. It was quite the topic for awhile. It will be removed; the Forest Service just hasn't been able to get to it yet.

I really don't want Forest Service labor to pay for it's removal on my meager tax contribution. down.gif down.gif There budget is small enough. I agree the "artist" should pack out there garbage. But that's in a town called Utopia population 0. frown.gif More likely the "artist" will create some eloquent poem how it symbolizes the decline of the land line to justify it's continued existence and not remove it. Anyone have some detailed photo's of how that thing is attached? GPS track to it's location?
