Slow hot walk on Copper Pass trail from PCT to 5,600' mostly due to blow downs. Bugs most everywhere from TH to Pass. Small flies at the Pass was the worst bug situation we ever experienced in WA state, going back 30+ years, suggest head net from now until first heavy frost. Good to re-visit this area once again. Great views, peaks to climb and explore, small herd of goats visited us for breakfast. Some haze from the smoke. Returned to Hy 20 via unmarked trail along State Creek.
