I thought I was going to have to take a trip to Arizona today but it slid a couple days so I took my mom to Mowich lake. When we arrived this morning at 0830 there were 40 cars in the parking lot. When we left there were 175! We started hiking to Eunice lake at 0900. This really is a nice trail. On the way we checked out Ipsut Pass. We arrived at the lake an hour and a half later. It turned out harder for my mom than I thought. Maybe I should only take her on hikes Ive been on before. We had lunch there and headed back. All in all a really wonderful day.

Excellent! Thanks for the TR, BPJ. I've been wondering what conditions were like at the lake. Too bad you didn't make it up to the lookout for the views. Guess you have a reason to come back!

Fully understand! Last summer my dad joined us on this hike. He had recently quit smoking after being a heavy smoker all his life. He made it, but barely. Sharing the area with him was pretty special. I hope you and your mom had a similar experience.

Good for mom! up.gif up.gif I had the kids there on Saturday. I forget how rocky, rooty, and steppy parts of the trail are. Lots of fun throwing the three-year-old up a few stairs.

I took my mom there years ago. It carries her name - Eunice - so we had to go there. I haven't been back for years. Glad you had the time with your mom.
