To celebrate a birthday, some friends and I hiked up Mt. St. Helens. Had some fresh snow frosting on the volcano cake.

It was foggy in the lowlands, but we soon climbed above it. Watching the clouds mutate during the hike was a treat.

The forest below the mountain is gorgeous, especially the color gradiants on the silver fir.

The next day we went to Ape Cave. My camera does not do well in the dark, so these are blurred.

It looks like old man winter is creeping on in. Quite a bit of snow up there.

I was up there with my wife and parents on Saturday too. The weather was great, couldn't have asked for anything better. Glad we didn't climb on Sunday!
