I am fine with posting anything that's been uploaded recently (and it's all still availale on flickr) but when I try to post a pic from awhile ago it doesn't come up. It looks like this site can only retrieve about 200 recent uploads and maybe a dozen sets. Any suggestions?

Re-upload the picture, or get a "pro" account. The 200 picture limit is set by flickr for free accounts. Older pics are still there, and can be viewed by clicking on the thumbnail here if they were posted here at the time.
Almost every picture I upload to flickr gets posted here, so I will never need a pro account, I can click on the thumbnail here (if for example I'm looking at one of my old trip reports) and see all my old flickr pics. I can also find the picture here using the "Pics" tab, and re-post it here using the "copy image location" function and the "IMG" tab. But if a while back I uploaded a pic to flickr and never posted it here, then I would need to re-upload it to flickr.

I've always had a pro account
There must be another way to handle this other than trying to find and re-upload every photo that I need...Please tell me there's another way! I'm in the process of uploading almost 1000 pics from a trip to the Dolomites and now I cannot get the first batch to show up in the photostream on this site...

PS This is not a new problem, it's always been that way. I've just always worked around it by re-uploading. But this time, with so many photos this won't work.

As far as the photostream, I just tested "the Zachster" and it shows me the last 500 (the most flickr will give us) so not sure why you can only see 200. The latter is the maximum for free accounts.
As far as the sets, we were only picking up the first page of sets. It was an easy fix. I'm kinda surprised nobody has brought this up until now.

I was guesstimating on the number of pics in the photostream...but even 500 is not enough for me to do my TR...
Can all of the sets be accessed now? If so, then if I just organize the pics (that would be a novel idea... ) into sets then I should be able to access all of them?

Yes, all sets should be showing up now. If you need to go back more than 500 you can just put all older pics in a set.

I noticed but for some reason did not get to mentioning it. Probably my lack of TRs this year.

Which is to say it NEEDS to be renewed? Lol. While I do miss him posting more, especially trip reports, he's Mr. consistency around the board otherwise.

A man says to his brother "You never do anything for me." The brother says "What? Five years ago I bought you a car, four years ago I lent you the money for the down payment on your house, and three years ago I gave you a kidney!" The man says "Yeah, but what have you done for me lately?"
