They are selling eneloop rechargeable batteries at the Silverdale Costco. These are the batteries only without the charger. They have a package with 10 double A's and a package with 12 triple A's. The price on each is $19.99 and the item numbers are 1084334 and 1084337.

They are currently selling a two pack of Coast headlamps for $23 with batteries. 405 lumens max a bit bright IMO but drop down to 230 or 53 for longer battery life 17hr on low. They also have an focusing beam and red LEDs. Good for loaning or a backup.

Was there yesterday (3/9/17) and they had rain jackets that looked a lot like the Marmot Precip, except that the material was stretchy polyester, was described as "breathable", and the price was only $25.

down.gif down.gif down.gif down.gif down.gif down.gif down.gif down.gif down.gif redface.gif redface.gif redface.gif Total waste of money. There is a reason this is not available in Costco warehouses because then you could see what you were getting. Costco often comes through with some good deals, but this is beyond laughable. After removing the throws from their packaging (they were rolled up) I shook them out and was stunned to discover that the loft is all of 1/4". Honestly! This is a ridiculous rip-off. I'll be dropping mine off at the nearest Costco warehouse for a refund.

I love my Costco down throws. They fluff up after a few days. Shake them now and then. Give them a chance.

I bought mine at the Wenatchee warehouse last year. They were sold singly at $20 each. I have one on my couch, one in the car, and one at my daughter's house that I use as a top blanket when the regular blanket isn't warm enough. Granted, they're not rated to 20 degrees, but they don't claim to be, either.

We got a couple at the warehouse also they work great. Of course they are not Western Mountaineering -40 degree certified but for $20 they are pretty sweet.

Backpackinglight.com has a thread going right now about Costco down throws and the pros and cons of using them. https://backpackinglight.com/forums/topic/costco-down-throw/

After leaving such a scathing post re. my dissatisfaction with the Costco throws, I was admonished by others to give them time to loft and the re-evaluate. I waited several days and also ran then through a 30 min low heat cycle on the dryer. As a result... (sigh) I am now forced by my own conscience to lower my contrite head and issue an online apology to Costco for my hasty and ill-considered post. They are indeed the good deal that others have claimed. Somehow my expectations were for much more loft. Those were unreasonable expectations for a $20 throw. They are very lightweight, fairly warm, and come with great stuff sacks. I'm very happy and will be using mine in my camper. frown.gif redface.gif smile.gif
