So, if you like sardines and are looking for a good source of protein for the trail, try looking for them at Walmart. I just found them near the tuna in foil packets. The brand is called Crown Prince and the net weight is 3.53oz or 100g. Gross weight is 3.8oz on my scale, 108g. I got the ones packed in spring water because they only have 160mg of sodium, which is about half in the other two, mustard packed or slightly smoked in soybean oil. Anyway, this has 16g of protein, which is pretty good. Also contains 0.93g of Omega-3 fatty acids for your heart
Not the lightest thing to carry, but good on a long trip to vary the diet. Cost was only $0.82 per packet!

Those damn little cans are fun to open at home, but way too bulky for wilderness. Thank god those sardine fellas decided to copy the tuna guys!
