If this has been thought of and I missed it in the search, please delete.
I was thinking something that some might find helpful would be a calendar page set up for hikers. You could have dates marked with certain hiking related events---when campsite reservations are due (e.g. enchanments), free access day to the National Parks, dates certain trails/roads open, when hunting seasons are (for those that avoid hunting areas), etc.
Just a thought I had and haven't found/seen any mention of here yet.

We'll be selling one that's exactly like that as a fundraiser a little later in the year.
Here's the photo submission thread with samples from previous years.
And here's the thread where we're discussing the potluck where said calendar will be released.

I'm aware of that one DHM. Still don't know my schedule yet as to whether or not I can make it over there. Actually the getting there isn't as bad as the getting back.
I was thinking an electronic version of a calendar, maybe kind of like the wiki posts where people could add to it. Sort of like the road closure/update thread which has turned out to be helpful (I think) and did a good job.
Just wondering what others here thought of the idea?

That sounds very useful. It would be great to have a collection of these dates (ie calendar), all in one place, and accessible from the internet.
