Late start, short day, but the views and high desert terrain make this a nice trip year around (except when the road has snow / ice). Once again we had blue skies and sunshine after we climbed out of the fog and smog from the air stagnation, though it was in the 20's.
We hiked to Moses Stool which is the high ridge on this section of the plateau and the wind made for a short stay, views were good both of the mountains, and the plateau, but we made a decent down into the Duffy Creek drainage where we found a flat spot in a meadow-like area and had lunch. The sun fell behind the ridge as we made our way back towards the vehicle. Short on exercise, long on views.
Rock Creek Canyon Enchantment Uplift Teanay - Enchantments - Cashmere Moses Stool Frosty Plateau Entiat Ridge and Chumstick #1,2,3 Duffy Creek transitions into a steeper canyon and merges with Davis Creek. Stormy Cashmere from across the Plateau. Section of trees where a sliver of Duffy Creek runs through. Big Lou to Big Jim
We looked at this peak in the binoculars, but weren't certain what it was so I took a long distance pic, Glacier, Cardinal ?
An interesting angle on Glacier far, far, in the distance.

Clear photos considering all the haze around Wenatchee. Moses Stool would have been a great place to test your little stove in the wind if you could keep it down without guy wires. Are the beavers still in Duffy Creek?

It was beyond uncomfortable up there, we did use the stove down in Duffy Creek Drainage and had some Via coffee, and outside in subfreezing temps with light winds the Vargo stove boiled 20oz. of water outside in under 10 minutes. We went by the beaver dam you walked across in the Spring, we are thinking about doing a through trip from Duffy Creek to Davis Creek next Spring.
