Nice work Gabriel! I was reading my cherished copy of Dallas 'Winter Climbs' before bed last night. |

Awe, Gosh, Golly, Gee, Whim & Exclamation Point?
Really?
How old is this book anyway?
(the group northwest of Darrington and north of Higgins)
More stuff to do close to home... I like that.
Thanks for sharing.

Cutsie, huh? The second edition was published in 1997.
Dallas Kloke was a super nice guy. I once phoned him to get a copy of this book, he didn't have any left but he asked me for my address and said he'd mail me something. He not only photocopied some pages from his book, he also hand-wrote me a letter describing 10 of his favorite peaks, plus he suggested we go climbing if I'm ever in his area. All that for someone he had never met or had any connection with other than a phone call.
Incidentally, Gee Peak was one of the 10 favorite peaks he listed, "Gee Peak - small, rocky peak, no walkup!" He said Sauk was his favorite. |

gabrielx, last winter I used your map now and then, but it seems to be down now. Any idea?
I'd love to get my hands on the Kloke book also btw, but it is impossible to find. If anybody knows of a way to get the content, that would be fantastic. |

I noticed that the yellowleaf map uses a kml file. Here is that same file displayed by Gmap4 and with the labels turned on. Zoom out and/or pan the map to see other peaks.
