There's all this talk of PTSD but from an article I recently read , this guy worked on radio equipment and was never in combat. It sounds like he had issues before the army. I'll see if I can find that article.
I saw that (somewhere) also, and that was my take on it too.

Some are discounting the possibility that he is a victim of PTSD. I do not know if he was, and what kind of situations he was put in during his service in Iraq. What I do know is that the front lines are fuzzier in todays asymmetric wars, and even those in the rear with the gear are often in jeopardy. This is new to Americans, but I guess it is old news to the survivors of the Blitz, and the recipients of the Allies pay-backs

KING5 says there will be a public candlelight vigil on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the Eatonville Early Learning Center (560 Center Street East). No word on the public memorial service yet.

Any support that you can show or contribute to this family will be helpful while they recover. This is a big tragedy for one of our own and down the trail they will know that we were behind them at this time.

True enough. These guys are also coming through.

There's a special place in heaven for Ranger Margaret Anderson, with forest and waterfalls, animals and birds, and her mountain towering over her, like a sentinel. Rest in peace, Ranger Anderson.

Well, I think it is important the two children have their future financial needs assured. What is not important at all is that any particular group gets credit for helping. That is why anonymous giving through a local fund is the best way to handle these things. Usually a trust fund is set up at a financial institution in the person's hometown and donations are funnelled there. Rumi

Thank you, Rummi. I couldn't have said it better. My heart aches immensely for Margaret, her family, friends and colleagues. I can't imagine what my daughter and I would do without my wife.
