My sis was here from NY, she wanted a sunny hike. I did what I could to research and provide that.
It was worth the 3.5 hour drive each way, we had the whole place to ourselves, had good sis bonding time and alot of laughs.
As soon as we pulled in we noticed 10 eagles in the trees 2 adults, they were beautiful! Great way to start the hike!

Weather started just a litte hazy and ended pefectly clear and warm. I felt like we were dressed for the arctic and were in the desert hiking. It was chilling in the morning 30's.

Bugs were annyoing on the way out, but i'm not complaining...
We went to the second dunes and then turned around. I'm sure this is the start to my east side adventures this year.

Nice trip and great sunshine pics. We see those cliffs off in the distance from Saddle Mtn all the time, it looks like I may need to go check it out!

...and I have yet to visit the dunes; I always pass them by and park at the end of the road and cut across the landscape to the river. Tremendous flowers - until the huge brushfire a few years ago....I still go there to see the re-growth.
I'll have to visit the dunes next time!!!!!
