I had a lovely few days in the Pasayten this week. A bit of sickness was outweighed by larch and meeting Perry Burkhart and his pack goats. Here's an evening highlight:

Oh that is so beautiful, Gil, I miss the Pasayten, have to get back there before winter comes. That’s pretty cool that you met Perry and his pack goats! Here is a picture that has no particular photographic merit, but I thought the heart was pretty charming.

Gil, I love that shot of Cathedral Lake! up.gif I think this is my favorite (or joint favorite) hiking selfie, taken this weekend in West Virginia's high country (~4100ft):

We spent some days over the past week forsaking the WA fall foliage for the warm colors of the OR Coast sunsets, here seen from Tillicum Beach near Yachats

Found this bit of something encased in snow and ice somewhere up around Harts Pass, after last week's snow storm.

We had a lovely time out in eastern Washington last weekend. Fall colors were lovely, on Umtanum Creek and up highway 10 and the Cle Elum area. Probably peak this weekend.

Thank you! I actually was surprised by the quality -- I had my clunky old 24-120mm.
