Secret Basin B&W (1 of 1)
Secret Basin B&W (1 of 1)
While I appreciate "bluebird days" as much as anyone, my favorites are transtional days, as weather is moving in or out. Combined with the low winter sun we got some fantastic light from the play of sun and shadow in this north-facing basin up in the Selkirks late last week.

I saw the thread about the crumbling dams in the Enchantments area. In 2016 I took my nephew up to Colchuck. While there we got to see the helicopter coming in and landing on the pad to support work on the Colchuck dam.

^ Both are nice, but I agree that the second one is nicer. Someone I know just returned from Oahu. While walking on the beach she got taken out by a rogue wave and suffered ligament damage to both knees and one arm. All three will require surgery! eek.gif She never wants to go back.

Sandpoint Idaho, yesterday, chasing the Milky Way. Not my photo.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.
