Went to Multnomah Falls early in the morning. SAR was doing an exercise and removing trash that idiots had thrown over the bridge. Went on to Dalles Mountain Ranch where the strong winds prevented us from summiting, but very cool clouds made it worthwhile!!

The most impressive mountain view I've ever seen, even more than K2. Not kidding. smile.gif

Very nice. I think I saw that on FB, too. I'm curious how you captured it since it's obviously a long exposure yet the sun isn't over-exposed. I was thinking dark neutral-density filter but then a long enough exposure would cause the sun to streak/blur. Care to share?

Thank you. I did post it to the WHC group on FB. Probably where you saw it. It was shot using a in camera app "Smooth Reflections". It's meant to be used instead of a filter. It takes multiple shots and layers them together into one image. I think this was somewhere around 200 images. I stopped it short of the 256 image setting I had chosen as the sun went behind a the lower cloud. I like messing around with that app, it can give some funky results.

Very cool that it can keep the sun looking like a ball while blending the motion of the waves and clouds to look like a long exposure. Thanks for the explanation!

Wow, those are all great Mike. I love the family portrait. And this one. This little one looks like quite a character.

Is it the same momma fox every year you get pics of w/ kits? That must be so cool to get to see the new family each year.
