No, I'm the one who is wrong as usual. There can't be two of us.

Yeah, Buckindy is red. But the names of all the peaks within the complex dunno. I dont even know which is Misch; I just know its over there because I like the name and I like to say "which is Misch." Sometimes that's as far as I go with stuff, and am happy with that.

Someone far more knowledgeable than me is sure to chime in. That's not saying much, but still....

Exploring the southern Oly's yesterday, was able to make it just above the low cloud layer, which was pouring in over the surrounding ridges.

We had a lovely hike last week into the Wallowas, going up the East Fork Lostine River valley to Mirror Lake, then dayhiking from there. My daughter and her boyfriend are in so much better shape then I am -- my god they can hike.

While rafting today at Joe Lake a large bird with impressive wingspan swooped in and proceeded check me out from the lake shore.  Pulled out the 600mm telephoto and managed to get a few keepers the from the raft.  After googling it seems to be a Great Blue Heron:

Ha, no fishing pole for me.  Would have been cool to see him fishing.  I found Joe to be a fairly shallow lake along the shore so maybe ideal for a heron to wade and fish.

I watched one fish for a while up in the Skagit Wildlife Area (i.e. the "wetland hunting reserve" along the Skagit). It was cool to see.
